Its that time of year again for National Chip Week which is from 18th Feb to 24th Feb - to help celebrate one of the nations favourites "chips" there is a competition for the best chips in the area - please vote for Traditional Fish & Chips on www.chips.lovepotatoes.co.uk by 6th Febuary 2013.

Staff and Customers have raised £72.00 in aid of the Rotary Club of Fareham, Foundation Charity to help eradicate Polio, this was achived by selling specail bottles of Tiptree tomato sauce which were made with Rotary logo's on and donated to Rotary by Tiptree.

Fareham Traditional Fish and Chips have now teamed up with Fareham and Gosport Basic Bank to help the homeless and those in need have hot food. The Fareham and Gosport Baic Bank give out vouchers to those who need them, the vouchers then are used in the chip shop to purchase at cost price to the Fareham and Gosport Basic Bank jumbo sausage and chips or fish cake and chips both with a can of drink optional. This has now been in operation since the begining of January 2012 and is working very well.

For the residents in the Borough of Fareham who have a Fareham Leisure Card they can now receive a free small chips when they spend over £5.00p on production of the card.

Do not forget its National Chip Week from Monday 20th February 2012 to Sunday 26th February 2012 - Bridget and Rebecca are in Fareham Market tomorrow handing out scratch cards, if you win - its a portion of free chips at Traditional Fish and Chips, Fareham.
Also if you buy the Sun Newspaper there is an offer in there on Friday 24th February 2012 for a portion of free chips at participating chip shops.

Fareham Celebrates National Chip Week 2011

Fareham Traditional Fish and Chips (formally Jacks), 200 West Street, Fareham, is asking its chip-loving customers to warm up their vocal chords before plaice-ing their order and taking part in Chip Factor, as part of National Chip Week 2011.
Chip Factor marries the Britain's of chips with the nation's passion for singing by inviting chip-lovers to change the words of popular songs in celebration of chips.
All entrants need do is to come along to auditions at Fareham Traditional Fish and Chip Shop singing a chip themed song and upload it to www.lovechips.co.uk and they could win a plate of chips ....... anywhere in the world up to the value of £4000.
Rebecca of Fareham Traditional Fish and Chips says, "this is all a bit of fun and I know my customers will be up for it, so come along to Fareham's oldest fish and chip shop, established on the same premises in 1928. We still prepare and cook in the traditional way 7 days a week, all to order so that it’s of high quality and fresh.”
Talent show contestant, Andy Abraham will be judging the final shortlist of entries, so be sure to ask for some stardust with your next portion of chips.
