Fareham Traditional Fish and Chips (formally Jacks), 200 West Street, Fareham, is asking its chip loving customers to warm up their vocal chords before plaice-ing their order and taking part in Chip Factor, as part of National Chip Week 2011.

Chip Factor marries the Britain's of chips with the nation's passion for singing by inviting chip-lovers to change the words of popular songs in celebration of chips.

All entrants need do is to film themselves in Fareham Traditional Fish and Chip Shop singing a chip themed song and upload it to www.lovechips.co.uk and they could win a plate of chips ....... anywhere in the world.

Rebecca of Fareham Traditional Fish and Chips says "this is all a bit of fun and I know my customers will be up for it", so come along to Fareham's oldest fish and chip shop, established 1928 and still cook in the traditional way to order so the food is fresh.

Talent show contestent, Andy Abraham wil be judging the final shortlist of entries, so be sure to ask for some stardust with your next portion of chips.

If you want to take part in the Chip Factor come along to 200 West Street, Fareham on Monday 21st February 8pm, Tuesday 22nd February 8pm, Wednesday 23rd 1.30pm and Thursday 24th 1.30pm.
